Welcome to the Portfolio Lab

Exploring what works, what doesn't and how to make it better.

Warning:

Several of the materials in this Portfolio Lab experiment heavily with AI. The Woasis wants to be clear that our mission is not to undermine the craft or expertise of those who have dedicated years to mastering their skillsets. We fully acknowledge the talent, discipline, and vision it takes to refine a craft over time.

We’re not here to convince you to adore AI. Our goal is to inspire curiosity and encourage an open-minded, adaptable approach to the changes ahead. These technologies are now part of our reality, and we’re taking the calculated risk of testing them so you can gain insights from both the wins and the failures.

Explore, take what serves you, and thank you for being here.

Framer AI+ Insights

The challenge:

  • Build a first iteration product feature launch using a structured PMM approach for Framer's AI+ web building feature.  The goal is to see how well this project can be created in such a short amount of time with much of the guidance coming from AI. In this case we will use ChatGPT's advice with other sources like professional PMM content, courses, and Youtube videos. Once done, we have a ground floor to build upon for a better iteration.

What worked:

  • Used ChatGPT to structure the sections, outline text, and reference PMM best practices.

  • Cross referenced ChatGPT recommendations with several sources from PMMs on LinkedIn, Go To Market Course on LInkedin Learning, and Youtube videos. developed by qualified PMMs in companies such as Google.

  • Used Canva to expedite creative process of building a slide deck relying on templates and intuitive design features saving 30% more time on design.

What didn't:

  • Missed key sections like market size, messaging pillars + positioning, channel strategy, and more context on success metrics.

  • Lacked budget breakdown and did not go as in depth in many other areas as needed.

What should improve:

  • Bottom line, product launches should not be done in 24 hours using mostly the guidance of AI. This was a very rough draft that will require much more thorough research and purposeful decision making regarding markets, competitors, consumers, messaging, positioning, and budget break downs and success metrics. Stay tuned for the next iteration!

Woasis GTM Plan Insights

The challenge:

  • Build a first iteration GTM plan using Canva, Google, ChatGPT, Midjourney, and any other sources you may find useful. The goal is to see how thorough and useful your GTM plan can be on this first go.

What worked:

  • Canva was a go to once again with slide deck templates that made things easy to design and organize. ChatGPT helped me find sources through the internet quickly and I was able to learn, structure the content, and find close competitors within the niche of experimental marketing labs.

What didn't:

  • I didn't fully enjoy the messaging pillars section of the plan. I feel that could be fine tuned and a budget needs to be showcased as well.

  • Midjourney was good at giving me photos and backdrops to certain slides. However, it's rather difficult to prompt a consistent look for the images. This affected the visual consistency throughout the slides.

What should improve:

  • This plan came together in a nicer fashion because it was built after the Framer AI+ feature launch. More time allocated and stronger market research tools should carve out a more thorough plan for the next iteration.

  • Messaging and positioning could use a bit more deeper thought and there could be more context behind the product roadmap and any budget allocated towards this endeavor.

  • Lastly, the target market may be too broad at this stage. The Woasis currently spans non-linear professionals, multifaceted creatives, and business leaders, each of whom has different needs and challenges. I’d recommend narrowing the focus to a specific audience first, driving engagement within that group, and then expanding to additional personas over time.
